PIZZA DIET

LOSE POUNDS WITH THE

PIZZA AND POP DIET

I love pizza and could never imagine a diet without it.

In fact, it's the perfectly balanced meal. A thin crust means not too much bread (although, I love a thick crust and know a secret way to have it), it has tomato puree on it, which is a great source of antioxidants, it has lots of vegetables, it has good sources of protein with the cheese and meat toppings, and sometimes it even has fruit on it. Now I know for you connoisseurs out there, the thought of pineapple on a pizza is a sin, I personally think it's deliscious and I even get 1 of my 5 a day in. It's baked, which is even more healthier.

I could eat pizza every day, with different toppings. In fact, I tried donner kebab meat topping the other day and that was amazing. Whoever thought of mixing donner kebab and pizza is a genious.

DOES IT WORK?

Well the proof is in the pudding, or should I say PIZZA!

This is me

I know what you are thinking "there's no way you just eat pizza!"

And you are correct, there are other secret ingredients with my Pizza Plan.

I have an incredible sweet tooth.

Chocolates, cakes, ice cream, doughnuts, jelly tots as well as a host of Indian sweets like barfi, jalebi and gulab jamun are included in my diet. But I don't have sugar in my coffee. Well, not if I'm having a cake. People who know me will know that if I am at a restaurant then the dessert, if on the menu, that I always have is chocolate fudge cake and ice cream.

I've even flown to some of the pastry capitals of the world.

Now, when it comes to fried food, this really is a weakness or should I say a love, because it really isn't a weakness.

I was a vegetarian for many years and the 2 things that would always make me want to eat meat were KFC and bacon. Even today, if I have to choose from most of the fast foods available, most of the time the Colonel with his secret recipe will win. Fries or chips, thin or thick, it doesn't matter but always with salt and happy to eat just these.

I can remember many a cold day with a hot bag of chips with lots of salt and vinegar on them. Just don't ask me to share.

After a long day, there's nothing better than a nice drink and snacks.

You can't have a beer or glass of wine without a few peanuts or crisps. I mean, you don't want to drink on an empty stomach.

Now, I know you might find this a bit wierd, but sometimes after I've a couple of drinks, I just get this mad desire for chocolate (I know, I know beer and chocolate, or a JD with coke and wholenut bar doesn't sound right does it). It works though, and I have proof in that the chocolate liquor market is massive.

I have followed this diet for years and it has worked, and is still working for me. It is working for 1000's of people that have followed my plan.

How?

After many years of exercise, I found that my weight was always fairly consistent. I would obviously have times when my weight was above my average and occasionally below. As I taught fitness through many classes, people would often ask me about weight loss, so I decided to put together a program based on how I lived. Not what I read but what I was personally doing. I wanted my plan to be based on experience, not theory.

I also realised, that by doing things regularly and consistently, then I would only need small changes to make a difference.

I lived my life like this.

Exercise - Monday to Friday - varied with cardio and resistance

Weekends to rest and recover but more importantly, just have a couple of days off

Eat moderately and healthily - Monday to Friday - diet varied and dependant on goal

Weekends I would eat anything I wanted and as much as I wanted (including plenty of pizza)

That's it. Simple. I'm in my late 50's now and I still boast a lean physique with lots of energy.

Many people in the fitness industry will say that you can have one "cheat" meal a week. The rest of the time you have to be strict, count calories, watch your macros and micros, eat no carbs, starve etc. Sounds fun hey!

Eating for many, including me, is a pleasure. So why deny ourselves of this. In fact, the more you deny yourself something you really enjoy, the more likely you will secretly indulge or when the program is over, you will go into excess. Hence most people put on even more weight once they finish the plan. They are so fixated on getting into that dress or looking good for a holiday, that they make all kinds of sacrifices. They don'y enjoy the process of denial, so why would they really continue it. How can this method ever become a lifestyle.

NOT ME.

This is how it works and IT WORKS.

It's Friday night and I'm winding down after a great week of training, working and eating clean. I settle down and get a drink and some snacks. For me it's a vodka and coke with crisps and nuts. I'm not advocating drinking but this is what I enjoy. Sometimes I'll just have one, sometimes a few more. It all depends on how I feel. The evening meal will be whatever is in the fridge.

Saturday morning always starts with a massive bowl of crunchy nut cornflakes drenched in ice cold milk. This is soon followed by a full english breakfast or possibly a load of Indian snacks like bhajias or paranthas. Always with lots of butter. As the day progresses, I'll have cake, chocolate or anything else that I have been resisting in the week.

The evening meal is preceded with a few drinks and snacks again followed by whatever. It could be pizza, it could be a home cooked curry with plenty of chappatis. Often, I'll eat till I know I've had too much. Sometimes I'll feel a bit uncomfortable, but you know what? I don't care, because I enjoyed it and I have no feelings of regret.

Sunday is similar with the exception that as the evening draws in, I'll ease back a little. Maybe just one drink and not as large a meal. This has just been a habit. It's like I'm tapering down my indulgencies.

Now, come Monday, I'm ready to exercise as I've had a couple of days off. My body feels full of energy because of all the food so I start the week training harder, lifting more and burning even more calories.

As for food, well after a great weekend on my pizza or anything I fancy diet, I don't have the urges anymore. Im fact, I'm actually looking forward to eating clean. Eating clean feels good and tastes good. I'm in this zone till at least Wednesday or Thursday. If I then get an urge for a Snickers bar or cake then I know it's only a day away and my discipline gets me past it. Or, if I really want it, I'll have some. I'm not into torture lol, but this doesn't happen often. Before you know it, it's Friday.

Folks, enjoy your lives. Enjoy your food. As long as you follow some basic rules like I do, you will stay consistent with your weight. You may need to change some things if your goal is to get ripped or build lots of muscle, but for the majority, it's about maintenance and can do that on my amazing pizza diet.
