How can you lose more weight or burn more fat by doing the same workout?

You need to know the Window Of Opportunity.

It's really simple. a trick I learnt a long time ago. Let's say you eat the same food as your friend and you both exercise at the same intensity in class. You both exercise for half hour every day (without this consistency, it won't work). BUT after a few weeks, your friend ends up losing more weight than you. You would probably be disheartened. Your friend knows a secret and now I'm going to share that with you. Do this over the course of a month and see the difference yourself.

When we exercise, we use carbohydrates (sugars) for energy. These come from the food we eat, especially things like fruit, bread, pasta, potatoes etc.

Now, while we have sugar from carbohydrates in our blood stream, there is no need for the body to use the fat that is making us over weight. We need to find the key to unlock the fat stores and allow the body to use fat for energy. Imagine that, your body using your body fat for energy. This will never happen if we have lots of carbohydrates in our body. So what do we need to do, without making too many compromises.

If you adopt a basic rule of thumb of NOT eating or drinking (except water) for 2 hours BEFORE you exercise and 1 hour AFTER exercise, then you will lose more weight. You have to also be consistent, meaning at least half hour a day (with a workout like our Fat Blast Hour Hour session), Monday to Friday. This is a Window Of Opportunity.

Why?

After about 2 hours of no eating, your body starts to be depleted of carbohydrates, especially if you are quite active. If you eat in the 2 hours before you exercise, then you will use the carbohydrates from the food you have eaten. If you don't eat, you will initially use the carbohydrates still in your body but then you will also start to use a tiny bit from your fat stores. If your meal is small and also just a protein only meal (eg chicken salad) then you will have even less carbohydrates in your system, then you are likely to use even more body fat from your fat stores.

After you have finished your exercise class, your body is desperate for carbohydrates, hence why a nice cold sweet drink is welcomed. Do this though, and you will quickly replenish your carbohydrates, and closing the doors to your fat stores. Don't eat or drink (except water) for an hour and your body will continue to use fat.

So simple isn't it? It absolutely works. It might be a slower way, but its a very effective way and a habit that can easily be maintained.

Follow these very basic rules of NOT eating 2 hours BEFORE, NOT eating 1 hour AFTER and exercise for half hour Monday to Friday and you WILL lose weight.
